My friend, Amy, says, "A watched pot never boils." That appears to be true with my belly as well. Still waiting...

Go / No Go

We learned this morning that the hospital was too booked to schedule me for an induction today. At my doctor's appointment (hence, the photo above of me and Mindy in the waiting room), my doc did what she could to "help things along," however, whether or not I have the baby today or soon is anyone's guess at the moment. I guess we are still playing the waiting game. Mindy, (my best friend from high school) flew in from Wisconsin late last night and is here through Friday helping me organize all the last minute things before the baby arrives.

Don and I had a nice, relaxing Christmas Day yesterday. I hope you did too.

Patiently Waiting

Here we are in mid-December. I told myself to not get sad this year when the snow arrives (as I do every other year). This year, I told myself to be HAPPY when the snow comes because that will also mean it's about time for baby to come. Well, guess what? The snow is HERE...and the baby is definately getting closer to coming.

If all goes well, we are hoping to have "her" on December 26th - the date that my doctor will possibly induce my labor if all is well and upon our request. I think I am ready and if it looks promising that inducing will produce a baby, I believe at this point, that I will ask her to do so.

I am currently on my last day of 'Week 37' and am looking very forward to meeting our new arrival. There are a lot of people waiting to meet her and she is so wanted and loved.

Enough text for my first post. You'd think I'm lonely or something...hehe...not the case at all...just excited about the upcoming week(s). :-)
