Grocery Shopping

It was a bit cold this last Saturday when Don took Sonia and I grocery shopping, so while outside, we had the blanket mostly covering Sonia. Per Sonia's request, I had to fashion the blanket in such a way that she could still see out of it. What a cute picture that made.

A Little Treasure

She's never been cuter. Mommy and baby are treasuring this time together.

Minnesota Cousins

My closest cousins, Sheila and Shannon, came on Saturday to visit. It was wonederful to catch up on each others lives and to be reminded of how similar we are despite the miles between us. I am so happy that I was able to spend this time with them and hope that it won't be too long before we can all see each other again.

Card from Richmond

Thank you, AmyHu, for the card below. I finally opened my mail this morning and it was a very nice suprise. Much love from Reno to Richmond too. :-)
This morning, I took my sister, Beth, to the airport and she is on her way home. It goes without saying that her visit was too short, but it was also the most time we've spent together in ten years. We will have this visit to remember for a lifetime. She helped me out so much by just being here and being herself. I love you, sis. And Sonia loves you too. I think she kept getting confused at who was holding her. She must have been thinking, "---you LOOK just like my mommy---" hehe...

Hiccups

Between hiccuping and discovering her tongue, tonihgt was an evening of laughs. Thanks to everyone at FHSC for welcoming Sonia so warmly today. You are all wonderful.

Roses

Last night, Daddy bought Sonia her first roses - a whole dozen - what a lucky girl! (Actually, all of the women in the house were lucky as Don didn't want anyone to feel left out, so he bought us EACH a dozen roses - wow!)

Today, Aunt Beth, Sonia and I went to the grocery store. Beth made dinner for all of us - including peach cobbler for dessert. Sonia slept a good part of the day and Don took the day off to hang out with the guys. One of the funniest parts of the day was when Sonia saw herself in the mirror. She was mesmerized. So cute!

The Week in Review

This past week has been wonderful. Sonia and I spent tons of time together. Will write more later. This "mommy thing" takes up a lot of my time.... gotta go!
